Clean Water HUI
The Clean Water Hui is WAI’s volunteer initiative that meets on a monthly basis to:
Increase awareness and education about wastewater management problems and water quality issues in communities. Members are empowered with marketing materials and educational resources that will help them act as our on-the-ground “poo patrol.”
Gain knowledge into the unique problems and possible solutions that exist in specific communities across the state. We work with a large volunteer base who live across the Hawaiian islands and who help provide key insight into what roadblocks and bumps in the road that each neighborhood faces when it comes to proper wastewater management.
Expand WAI’s reach into priority areas, encouraging other community members to support our initiatives and join the Clean Water Hui.
Receive input from our talented volunteer base on new possible solutions and ideas for the complicated cesspool issue that we are currently facing.
Help expand awareness of water quality problems in your community and statewide, with future opportunities to volunteer for water quality studies.
