Clean Water For Hawaiʻi

WAI works to mitigate the Hawaiʻi cesspool crisis, protect water quality, reduce sewage pollution and restore healthy watersheds.

Hawaiʻi has over 83,000 cesspools releasing 52 million gallons of wastewater daily into Hawaiʻi’s waters. These cesspools and failing septic systems contaminate drinking water, ruin underground aquifers, and pollute marine environments. WAI helps combat these issues by providing innovative, affordable, and eco-friendly solutions to wastewater management for all.
